SANDEEP LAMICHHANE TO PLAY FOR TRINBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS IN CPL 2021

Chatara, Sandeep Lamichhane has been announced as a team member of Trinbago Knight Riders - The Defending Champion, for Caribbean Premier League 2021. The price hasn't been disclosed yet but it is believed to be more than $100,000. He had played for Jamaica Tallawahs last season where they had paid $90,000 to get him in the team. He will now strengthen the TKR franchise’s spin department along with Sunil Narine. The announcement was made through CPL official Twitter account on Tuesday.

Lamichhane after the announcement tweeted, “Absolutely thrilled to be a part of Knight Riders family and look forward to play for the champions team. This is going to be an awesome ride. I am grateful to Jamaica Tallawahs for the opportunity last year.”

Lamichhane made his T20 International debut against the West Indies, representing a World XI side. He became the first cricketer to earn a T20 international debut serving a combined team. He also featured in Nepal’s First One Day International (ODI) match against Netherlands in August 2018.

The CPL 2021 will be played at the Windsor Stadium in St Kitts and Nevis from August 28 onwards. The final match will be played in September.
