No substitutes, no goalkeepers, midfielder playing as a goalkeeper but still manage to secure a 2-1 victory

Chatara, Something like a fantasy football was seen in Copa Libertadores match between Argentine Club- River Plate and Colombian Club- Independiente Santa Fe.

River's squad was reduced to 11 available players for Wednesday's game against Colombia's Independiente Santa Fe after 20 players tested positive for Covid-19, with others ruled out due to injury. Four goalkeepers were among those affected but a request to register their fifth and sixth-choice goalkeepers was rejected by South America's governing body, CONMEBOL. Being short of goalkeeper, River Plate were forced to play midfielder Enzo Perez in goal. The result will go down in history book for a longer period of time.

Fabrizio Angileri put River ahead after just 3^rd minute and Julian Alvarez doubled their lead on 6^th minute, three minutes later. Kelvin Osorio scored on 73^rd minute for Independiente and seems like they were getting their track back but River held on to secure the win.

After this fantasy football match, River’s coach Marcelo Gallardo said, “He was very brave to take the position. It was not easy, I have to highlight that because it's not easy to play in a position that you know nothing about. It was a joint decision. I needed to have him feeling confident because the responsibility would be totally mine, of course.”
