LIVERPOOL CLIMBED UPTO FOURTH PLACE WITH A WIN OVER BURNLEY

Chelsea, Leicester City and Liverpool are the three teams going for a final battle for the remaining two spots in next season’s Champions League

Chatara, Liverpool moved into the Champions League qualifying place after a 0-3 win at Burnley on Wednesday that took them above Leicester City into fourth place with one round of Premier League matches remaining.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring two minutes before half-time. Andy Robertson’s cross was missed by everyone in the middle of the box but Firmino made a darting run into the area to reach it. Nathaniel Phillips header made it 0-2 in the 52^nd minute before a superb strike from Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain on 88^th minute secured a fourth straight win. The victory moves Liverpool onto fourth place with 66 points, ahead of fifth placed Leicester on goal difference while Chelsea are on third place with 67 points.

The final battle of 2020/21 Premier League will see Liverpool facing Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday while Chelsea are at Aton Villa and Leicester are at home to Tottenham Hotspur. Champions Manchester City and second placed Manchester united have already secured Champions League qualification.
