KATHMANDU RAYZRS- WINNER OF FIRST EDITION OF NEPAL SUPER LEAGUE

Chatara, Kathmandu Rayzrs have claimed the title for the first edition of Nepal Super League Football Championship on Saturday.

The final stage was all set for Kathmandu Rayzrs against Dhangadi Football Club on Saturday in an empty Dasharath Stadium due to the COVID 19 protocols.

The one and only goal came at 21^st minute of the game when Cameroonian striker- Messouke Oloumou scored the decisive goal for Kathmandu Rayzrs. The game ended up with 1-0 scoreline to Kathmandu Rayzrs and being crowned as a champion.

This was the first ever franchise-based football tournament organised by Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt. Ltd. under the sponsorship of Khukri. A total of 7 teams were participated with Rs. 3.5 million prize money for the winner of the tournament and Rs. 1.5 million for the runner-up. The best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward and emerging player of the tournament got Rs. 100,000 each, while man-of-the-match in each game received Rs. 25,000.
