Bayern Munich celebrates after winning 9th consecutive Bundesliga title

Itahari, German giant-Bayern Munich won their 30^th Bundesliga title- record breaking 9^th consecutive title on Saturday as second placed RB Leipzig were defeated 3-2 by Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern were set to have the chance to seal the glory when hosting Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, but a defeat of RB Leipzig to Dortmund makes it only a formality for Bayern to win against gladbach.

Hat-trick hero Lewandowski opened the scoring just in the 1^st minute of the game with a cross from David Alaba. Thomas Muller later scored on 22^nd minute to make the scoreline 2-0. Gladbach's Ramy Bensebaini headed over the bar but a Muller cross soon found Lewandowski, who shone with a sumptuous sideways scissor-kick to make it three on 33^rd minute. Bayern had more salt to rub into Gladbach's wounds, Davies winning the ball at the edge of Bayern's box and charging down the left, Lewandowski setting up Coman, who fired inside the far post on 43^rd minute.

Four of the six goals were scored on the first half, where Lewandowski scored twice later completed his Hat-trick on the second half with a penalty on 64^th minute of the game. Sane also joined the goal feast with a goal on 85^th minute of the game.

Lewandowski is now just one goal behind Gerd Muller’s Bundesliga record of 40 goals in a season, and the Pole has two more games to beat the record. Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane also got on the scoresheet as the champions ran out emphatic winners.
