MESSI’S BRACE AND GRIEZMANN GOAL KEPT BARCELONA TITLE RACE ALIVE

Itahari, Fc Barcelona registered their 23^rd win of the season in Laliga Santander against Valencia to keep them alive in the title race. Dramatic night came to an end with the scoreline of 3-2 for Fc Barcelona.

Barcelona were able to create lot of chances in the first half but were unable to convert them resulting in a goal less first half. Valencia took the early lead in the second half with a strike from Gabriel on 49^th minute. The lead was canceled by the goal of Lionel Messi on 56^th minute. Messi missed a penalty but was able to convert the rebound from the strike of Pedri making the scoreline 1-1. Soon after, Griezmann scored the second goal for Fc Barcelona on 62^nd minute to take the lead for the first time. On 68^th minute, Lionel Messi’s magic was seen as he scored from a direct freekick. But the Laliga drama was not yet finished as Soler from the distance scored an absolute thunderbolt on 82^nd minute but was not enough as Valencia lost to Barcelona 3-2.

With this win, Barcelona are on 3^rd place with 74 points, whereas Real Madrid are on 2^nd place with 74 points as well, only 2 points behind Athletico Madrid. This season’s Laliga is going to be a thriller as 4 teams are equally battling for the title. All eyes are on Gameweek 35 as league leader Athletico Madrid takes on 3^rd place Barcelona and 2^nd place Real Madrid takes on 4^th place Sevilla.
