ARGENTINA AND CHILE KICKED OFF THEIR COPA AMERICA MATCH WITH A DRAW

Chatara, Argentina kicked of their Copa America 2020 campaign against Chile last night with a 1-1 draw.

Argentina were in total command and Lo Celso picked out Nicolas Gonzalez to shoot from 20 yards but goalkeeper Claudio Bravo got down to his right to send the ball around the post. Lionel Messi’s magical left foot free kick gave Argentina the lead on 33^rd minute of the game, his 57^th career freekick goal. Argentina were dominant infront of the goal with 18 shots on goal out of which 5 on target.

Chile started the second half with more intent and were awarded a penalty on 55^th minute of the game when Arturo Vidal was fouled inside the box by Tagliafico. Martinez was able to save the penalty stroke by Vidal but the rebound was send to the back of the net by Eduardo Vargas to level the score.

Copa America 2020 kicked off last night with a match from group B, where Brazil went past Venezuela with 3-0 scoreline and Colombia scoring one and only goal against Ecuador.

Copa America is being played by 10 teams divided into two groups with Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Bolivia on Group A whereas Brazil, Columbia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela on Group B.
