ITALY KICKED OFF UEFA EURO 2020 WITH A WIN OVER TURKEY

Immobile and Insigne found the score-sheet as Italy started its Group A campaign with a 3-0 win over Turkey

Chatara, Euro 2020 started last night with a match between Italy and Turkey in Rome in Stadio Olimpico that was filled to a quarter of its capacity.

Equally poised first half saw Italy finding hard to break through their opponents with constant threat from both the sides.

All three goals came at the second half, when Merih Demiral’s own goal gave lead to Italy on 52^nd minute of the game. Ciro Immobile gave Italy 2-0 lead on 65^th minute of the game. Insigne scored with one of his trademark finish to make the scoreline 3-0 on 78^th minute, completing a perfect night for Roberto Mancini’s men.

Italy are next on action against Switzerland on Wednesday, June 16.
