AUSTRALIA DEFEATED NEPAL TO REACH WORLD CUP QUALIFIER THIRD ROUND

Chatara, Australia advanced to the third round of Fifa World Cup Qualifier guaranteeing top spot in Group B with a 3-0 win over Nepal.

First-half goals from Mathew Leckie and Fran Karacic on 6^th minute and 38^th minute respectively put Australia in a commanding position to win the game comfortably.

Nepal were down to 10 men when their most experienced defender, Rohit Chand was shown red card in the first half stoppage time.

Martin Boyle's close-range finish made it 3-0 on 57^th minute of the game which sealed the match for Australia and their seven wins from seven games took them through to the next round of qualification regardless of the result of their fixture against Jordan on Wednesday.

Jordan and Kuwait played a goal-less draw which placed them on 2^nd and 3^rd place respectively. Australia will play Jordon on Wednesday whereas Kuwait will take on Chinese Taipei on the same night as their last match of the fixture.
