WCQ SOUTH AMERICA: BRAZIL ON TOP OF THE TABLE WITH SIX STRAIGHT WINS, ARGENTINA ON SECOND

Chatara, Neymar Jr. goal and assist helps Brazil to secure 6^th straight win in ongoing South America World Cup Qualifier, 2022.

Brazil were against Paraguay on their 6^th match of the qualifier which they managed to win with a scoreline of 2-0. Brazil remains on top of the table with 18 points. Neymar opened the scoring on 3^rd minute of the game and provided an assist on second half stoppage time to register a comfortable win against 6^th place Paraguay.

Columbia came from behind to drew against Argentina in the next match. Argentina opened the scoring on 3^rd minute of the game with a header from Cristian Gabriel Romero, his first goal in National colour. The lead was doubled only after five minutes by Daniel Paredes to put Argentina in a commanding position. But Columbia fought back strongly in the second half. Otamendi foul inside the box handed Columbia a penalty which was converted by Muriel on 51^st minute of the game. Argentina were unable to hold Columbia till the 90^th minute as Borja Hernandez scored on 94^th minute of the game to make the scoreline 2-2 and secured a point for the team. Nothing much has changed in the table for Argentina after the match as they are still on 2^nd place but the draw gave Columbia one point which took them above Paraguay to 5^th place.

From South America, Top four teams out of 10 will qualify for the Fifa World Cup, Qatar 2022.
